Influence of Key Climate Factors on Desertification in Inner Mongolia

چکیده

Desertification is a major environmental problem facing the world today, and climate change an important factor influencing desertification. This study investigates impact of changes in key factors on desertification based normalized difference vegetation index data, precipitation data evaporation from Inner Mongolia between 1982 2020 using correlation analysis, regression modelling, residual analysis. The results show that are significantly correlated with mild severe desertification, respectively, coefficients reaching 0.98 −0.96, respectively. In severely desertified areas central-eastern Mongolia, there high temperature, characteristics average maximum minimum temperatures similar to those temperature well as 0.978, Climate contribution accounts for 97% areas, indicating has increased these areas. regions improved approximately 75% primarily influenced by (with relative greater than 50%), exhibiting 30% regions.

Groundwater sapping as the cause of irreversible desertification of Hunshandake Sandy Lands, Inner Mongolia, northern China.

In the middle-to-late Holocene, Earth's monsoonal regions experienced catastrophic precipitation decreases that produced green to desert state shifts. Resulting hydrologic regime change negatively impacted water availability and Neolithic cultures. Whereas mid-Holocene drying is commonly attributed to slow insolation reduction and subsequent nonlinear vegetation-atmosphere feedbacks that produc...

Grassland desertification by grazing and the resulting micrometeorological changes in Inner Mongolia

Overgrazing is one of the most primary causes of desertification in semi-arid zones of China. From 1992 to 1994 we conducted a grazing experiment in Naiman (lat. 42◦58′N, long. 120◦43′E, 345 m asl), Inner Mongolia, China to elucidate desertification mechanisms. Our experimental field, which was covered with some short grasses, legumes and forbs, included four plots where grazing sheep numbers d...

Analysis of desertification and wood land distribution: A case study on the Balinyou Banner of Inner Mongolia, China

Desertification is a serious threat to the sustainability of the environment and to human habitation. Kerqin sandy land is the largest sandy land in China, and is one of the most important origins of sandstorms in Northern China. Land desertification and frequent sandstorms in the spring strongly affect the growth of grassland vegetation and crops, and the effective of eco-environment in this r...

Detecting Sustainability of Desertification Reversion: Vegetation Trend Analysis in Part of the Agro-Pastoral Transitional Zone in Inner Mongolia, China

Vegetation dynamics are an important topic in the field of global environment change, which is of great significance to monitor temporal–spatial variability of desertification at regional or global scales. Following the reported desertification reversion in the late 1990s in the Horqin Sandy Land, an issue was concerned for desertification control by decreased water availability. To detect the ...
